Companies and Offices in Gurugram (Gurgaon), Haryana

How to verify a company or business in Haryana

A directory entry is not proof of incorporation, tax registration, regulatory approval or the right to carry on a regulated activity. Use the following official sources as appropriate to the transaction:

• Company incorporation: Under section 7 of the Companies Act, 2013, incorporation involves filing prescribed documents with the Registrar of Companies. Verify a company's registered details using the Ministry of Corporate Affairs services.
• GST registration: Section 22 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 provides for registration when applicable turnover thresholds and other conditions are met; section 24 covers specified compulsory registration cases. Check a GSTIN on the GST portal.
• Tax invoices: Section 31 of the CGST Act, 2017 governs tax invoices and related documents in the specified circumstances. Ask for a proper invoice when purchasing taxable goods or services.
• Consumer rights: Section 2(7) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 defines a consumer, subject to statutory exclusions and explanations; section 2(11) defines deficiency in services. Consult the National Consumer Helpline for eligible consumer grievances.
• Haryana approvals: For industry-specific licences, permissions and investment facilitation, consult the Invest Haryana portal and the relevant state or local authority.

Statutory requirements depend on the business activity, entity type, transaction and applicable amendments. Official legislation can also be searched through India Code.
