Camera repair and customer care guide

Olympus Service Centers in India: Camera Repairs, Warranty and Support

Looking for Olympus camera repair or customer care in India? The support route depends on whether you own an Olympus-branded camera or lens, an OM System product, or an Olympus medical or scientific device.

How to get current Olympus camera support

The former Olympus imaging business is now operated by OM Digital Solutions, which markets OM System photography products and provides relevant support for many legacy Olympus cameras and lenses. Consult OM System's official website and its support or contact section for the applicable country and product. Do not confuse camera service with support for Olympus medical equipment, which follows separate channels.

1. Identify the exact camera or lens model and serial number.
2. Check the official product support and warranty information for your model and region.
3. Ask for a confirmed service location, repair request process, shipping instructions and an estimate before handing over equipment.
4. Back up images, remove memory cards and accessories unless requested, and photograph the item's condition.
5. Retain the purchase invoice, warranty documentation, repair job sheet and payment receipts.

Warranty coverage and repair charges

Whether a repair is covered depends on the applicable warranty, purchase region, age of the product and cause of damage. Out-of-warranty cameras may require paid diagnostics, parts and labour. Ask about parts availability for older Olympus models before dispatching a camera.

Consumer complaints and service disputes

Consumers in India may have remedies for defective goods or deficient services under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, depending on the circumstances. Document the defect and your correspondence. The National Consumer Helpline provides a channel for consumer grievances and guidance.
