First Tax Period for New Registration

Tax period for the dealer who has been registered for the first time under the Delhi Value Added Tax is:

(a) Shall commence from the date of liability; and

(b) shall be a quarter, and continue to be a quarter till the end of the year in which registration is granted.

Tax Periods for Subsequent Years

Turnover of the Preceding Financial Year

Mandatory Tax Period

Turnover is Equal to or Less than Rs. 10Lacs

Quarterly

Turnover is More than Rs. 10 Lacs and equal to or less than Rs. 50 Lacs

Quarterly

Turnover is more than Rs. 50 lacs and equal to or less than Rs. 5 Crores

Quarterly

Turnover Exceeding Rs. 5 Crores

Quarterly

Every dealer shall be liable to pay monthly tax within 21 days of expiry of the month
